House 0129: Relating to Emergency Elevator Access ------------------------------------------------------------------

H129     GENERAL BILL/1ST ENG by Kallinger; (CO-SPONSORS) Zapata  (Identical
CS/CS/CS/S 0672, Compare CS/S 0494, S 0680, CS/S 1342)
Emergency Elevator Access; provides requirements re regional emergency
elevator access; requires elevators in certain newly constructed or
certain substantially improved buildings to be keyed alike within each
of state emergency response regions; creates Elevator Safety Technical
Advisory Council within Hotels & Restaurants Div. of DBPR; authorizes
county or municipality to assess reasonable fee for inspections
performed by its inspectors, etc. Amends FS. EFFECTIVE DATE: 04/06/2004
except s. 1 takes effect 10/01/2004.
