Senate 2118: Relating to Individuals with Developmental Disabilities [SPSC] ------------------------------------------------------------------

S2118    GENERAL BILL/CS/CS by Children, Families, and Elder Affairs; Education
Pre-K - 12; Gardiner; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Fasano; Dean; Storms; Sobel;
Crist; Wilson (Similar CS/CS/2ND ENG/H 1073, Compare S 2340, CS/S 2396,
S 2472, S 2616)
Individuals with Developmental Disabilities [SPSC]; Revises the
application procedures for the licensing of certain facilities that
serve individuals with developmental disabilities. Requires that each
school prepare an incident report within a specified period after each
occasion of student restraint or seclusion. Requires that each school
notify a student's parent or guardian if manual physical restraint or
seclusion is used. Prohibits certain restraints and seclusion, etc.
EFFECTIVE DATE: 07/01/2010.
