Senate 1374: Relating to Health Care Providers ------------------------------------------------------------------

S1374    GENERAL BILL/CS by Health, Aging, and Long-Term Care; Saunders;
(CO-SPONSORS) Margolis (Similar 1ST ENG/H 1121, Compare CS/S 1760)
Health Care Providers; revises definition for purposes of Access to
Health Care Act to provide that contract with health care provider to
serve low-income patients requires provider to deliver services without
compensation & prohibits health care provider from billing any
third-party payor for any services rendered to low-income patients;
redefines term "health care provider" to include certain free-clinics,
etc. Amends 766.1115, 381.00593. EFFECTIVE DATE: 07/01/2004.
