Senate 1676: Relating to Protection of Manatees ------------------------------------------------------------------

S1676    GENERAL BILL by Bennett  (Compare H 0633, CS/2ND ENG/S 0540)
Protection of Manatees; requires that measurable biological goals for
manatee recovery adopted under Fla. Endangered & Threatened Species Act
be used by Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission when evaluating
existing & proposed manatee-protection rules; directs that existing
rules be presumed adequate & additional rules unnecessary in region
where measurable biological goals are being achieved, etc. Amends
370.12. EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon becoming law.
