Senate 2284: Relating to Probation & Community Control ------------------------------------------------------------------

S2284    GENERAL BILL/CS/1ST ENG by Criminal Justice; Villalobos; (CO-SPONSORS)
Haridopolos; Crist; Argenziano; Fasano; Smith (Compare 2ND ENG/H 1283,
H 1801, 1ST ENG/S 2426)
Probation & Community Control; provides additional criteria for mandated
participation in substance abuse program; requires that substance abuse
treatment be considered a basic support service in release orientation
program for certain offenders; requires law enforcement officers to
assist probation officers in making warrantless arrests; authorizes DOC
to contract for collection of electronic monitoring fees, etc. Amends
Chs. 944, 948, 947.22; creates 903.0473. EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon becoming
law except as otherwise provided.
