Senate 7054: Relating to Consumer Credit Protection ------------------------------------------------------------------

S7054    PROPOSED COMMITTEE BILL for Consideration by Banking and Insurance
Consumer Credit Protection; Expands the authority of the Attorney
General to take action against out-of-state consumer debt collectors.
Provides that a violation of provisions relating to consumer debt
collectors is a violation of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade
Practices Act. Prohibits a credit counseling organization from engaging
in certain additional specified acts, etc. EFFECTIVE DATE: 10/01/2010.
