House 0209: Relating to Student Assessment in the Public Schools ------------------------------------------------------------------

H209     GENERAL BILL by Bullard  (Identical S 0420, Compare H 0473,

Student Assessment in the Public Schools; Terminates administration of
FCAT to students in grades 9 through 12; requires PSAT/NMSQT to replace
grade 10 FCAT for purposes of measuring student's knowledge & skills;
requires students to take PSAT/NMSQT in grade 10 & earn passing scores
to qualify for standard high school diploma; requires State Board of
Education to designate passing scores; requires use of student
performance on PSAT/NMSQT for school grading purposes, etc. EFFECTIVE
DATE: 07/01/2010.
