Senate 0520: Relating to Florida Building Code ------------------------------------------------------------------

S520     GENERAL BILL/CS/CS by Banking and Insurance; Comprehensive Planning;
Regulated Industries; Constantine; Bennett (Similar CS/S 0494, Compare
1ST ENG/H 0585, H 0911)
Florida Building Code; (THIS BILL COMBINES S520,CS/S494) deletes time
deadline requiring DCA to adopt emergency rules; requires that review &
approval for any site plan locating factory-built school building be
performed by specified school district; requires all new or retrofitted
construction on essential facilities which utilizes state or federal
grants to meet higher standard for impact protections, etc. Amends FS.
EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon becoming law.
