House 0599: Relating to Stolen Property ------------------------------------------------------------------

H599     GENERAL BILL/2ND ENG by Culp; (CO-SPONSORS) Brown; Kallinger; Planas;
Spratt (Compare H 0177, CS/CS/S 1380)
Stolen Property; creates inference that certain persons accepting used
property knew or should have known that property was stolen if property
conspicuously displays specified information; reclassifies offenses of
cargo theft of first degree & cargo theft of second degree under offense
severity ranking chart of Criminal Punishment Code to increase penalties
imposed for any such offense, etc. Amends 812.022, 921.0022; reenacts
812.014(1) & (2). EFFECTIVE DATE: 07/01/2004.
