House 1283: Relating to Electronic Monitoring/Probationers ------------------------------------------------------------------

H1283    GENERAL BILL/2ND ENG by Baker; (CO-SPONSORS) Allen; Ambler; Bilirakis;
Fiorentino; Kravitz; Needelman (Compare H 0943, H 1801, S 2018, CS/1ST
ENG/S 2284, 1ST ENG/S 2426)
Electronic Monitoring/Probationers; requires vendors that provide
electronic monitoring services to register certain information with
clerk of court; authorizes bail bond agents to contract with registered
vendors to provide electronic monitoring of pretrial releasees in
certain circumstances; authorizes pretrial release subject to said
monitoring; revises reporting requirements applicable to probationers &
community controlees, etc. Amends Chs. 948, 903, 648.387; reenacts FS.
APPROPRIATION: $3,750,000. EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon becoming law.
