House 1491: Relating to Pari-Mutuel Permitholders ------------------------------------------------------------------

H1491    GENERAL BILL by Rivera  (Similar S 2278, Compare H 1215, H 1285, H 1437,
2ND ENG/H 7145, CS/CS/2ND ENG/S 0788, CS/CS/S 0836, S 2316, S 2594)
Pari-Mutuel Permitholders; Provides that no new pari-mutuel permits
shall be issued after certain date; removes provisions for application
to Division of Pari-mutuel Wagering for permit to conduct quarter horse
race meetings; removes provisions for granting license to conduct
quarter horse racing; removes provision for governance & control of
quarter horse racing; removes requirement for intertrack wagering to be
conducted by quarter horse permitholder, etc. EFFECTIVE DATE:
07/01/2009 except as otherwise provided.
