House 1917: Relating to Juvenile Justice ------------------------------------------------------------------

H1917    GENERAL BILL/2ND ENG by Justice Appropriations (FC); Barreiro;
(CO-SPONSORS) Culp; Needelman (Compare H 1151, 2ND ENG/H 1859, H 1863,
CS/CS/1ST ENG/S 1914, CS/CS/S 1978, S 2380, CS/S 2546)
Juvenile Justice; creates minimum-risk nonresidential restrictiveness
level; provides that child may be taken into custody for absconding from
nonresidential commitment facility; provides secure detention for
children awaiting minimum-risk placement who violate home or nonsecure
detention or electronic monitoring; requires parents to pay fees for
costs of supervision re minimum-risk nonresidential commitment, etc.
Amends FS. APPROPRIATION: $256,576. EFFECTIVE DATE: 07/01/2005.
