Senate 1958: Relating to Guardianship ------------------------------------------------------------------

S1958    GENERAL BILL/CS/CS by Children and Families; Judiciary; Saunders;
(CO-SPONSORS) Fasano (Similar H 1615, Compare 2ND ENG/H 1935, CS/CS/1ST
ENG/S 2542)
Guardianship; provides that Statewide Public Guardianship Office need
not review credit & criminal investigations from college or university
before registering institution as professional guardian; provides that
in event of death, surviving parent is sole natural guardian of minor;
increases time emergency temporary guardian may serve to 90 days;
provides procedures for completing guardians' criminal history record
check, etc. Amends FS. EFFECTIVE DATE: 07/01/2005.
