Senate 2514: Relating to Health Insurance ------------------------------------------------------------------

S2514    GENERAL BILL by Fasano  (Compare 3RD ENG/H 0811, 1ST ENG/H 1503, 2ND
ENG/H 1859, CS/CS/S 1660, S 2554)
Health Insurance; requires disapproval of health flex plans that cannot
be shown to meet general eligibility standards for insurer certificate
of authority; authorizes insurers & HMOs to issue high deductible
insurance plans that meet certain criteria; provides that out-of-state
group health ins. policies are subject to prohibition on mandatory
arbitration clauses; extends time limits for giving certain notice re
insurance coverage continuation, etc. Amends FS. EFFECTIVE DATE:
07/01/2005.
