1Representative Hasner offered the following:
3     Amendment to Amendment (757721) (with title amendment)
4Between lines 611 and 612, insert:
5     Section 10.  Subsection (2) of section 948.09, Florida
6Statutes, is amended to read:
7     948.09  Payment for cost of supervision and
9     (2)  Any person being electronically monitored by the
10department as a result of placement on community control shall
11be required to pay as a surcharge an amount that may not exceed
12the full cost of the monitoring service in addition to the cost
13of supervision fee as directed by the sentencing court. The
14department is authorized to contract with a private entity to
15provide the services necessary to implement or to facilitate any
16provision of this chapter. The department is authorized to
17contract with a private entity for the collection and
18disposition of the surcharge. Such contract may allow for
19reasonable costs to the contractor associated with the
20collection of the surcharge. The surcharge may shall be
21deposited in the Operating Trust Fund to be used by the
22department for purchasing and maintaining electronic monitoring
