5     Section 6.  Subsection (36) of section 393.063, Florida
6Statutes, is amended to read:
7     393.063  Definitions.--For the purposes of this chapter,
8the term:
9     (36)  "Support coordinator" means a person who is
10designated by or under contract with the agency to serve as case
11manager for assist individuals served in programs administered
12by the agency, including, but not limited to, Medicaid waiver
13programs, and to identify individuals' families in identifying
14their capacities, needs, and resources, as well as finding and
15gaining access to necessary supports and services; coordinating
16the delivery of supports and services; advocating on behalf of
17the individual and family; maintaining relevant records; and
18monitoring and evaluating the delivery of supports and services.
19A support coordinator is responsible for assisting the agency in
20meeting the needs of individuals served while managing
21expenditures within available resources to determine the extent
22to which they meet the needs and expectations identified by the
23individual, family, and others who participated in the
24development of the support plan.

27     Remove line(s) 16 and insert:
28anesthesiologist assistant; amending s. 393.063, F.S.; revising
29the definition of the term "support coordinator"; providing an
30effective date.
