1Representative Grant offered the following:
3     Amendment (with title amendment)
4     Between lines 721 and 722, insert:
5     Section 6.  Subsection (3) is added to section 489.1425,
6Florida Statutes, to read:
7     489.1425  Duty of contractor to notify residential property
8owner of recovery fund.--
9     (3)  Upon written request by the contractor, the board
10shall waive the written statement requirement under subsection
11(1) if the contractor provides evidence of operational practices
12and financial security sufficient to ensure no payments will be
13made from the recovery fund as a result of work performed by the
15     Section 7.  Subsection (3) is added to section 713.015,
16Florida Statutes, to read:
17     713.015  Mandatory provisions for direct contracts.--
18     (3)  A contractor shall be exempt from this section if:
19     (a)  The contractor, prior to execution of the contract,
20provides written notice to the Construction Industry Licensing
21Board that it waives its right to place a lien on a property for
22nonpayment; and
23     (b)  The contractor has secured a written release of lien
24from any person or company performing work on the contractor's
25behalf prior to that person or company performing any work on
26the property in question.

31     Remove line 122 and insert:
32in the same manner as an assessment; amending s. 489.1425, F.S.;
33providing a waiver of duty of a contractor to notify a
34residential property owner of the recovery fund; amending s.
35713.015, F.S.; providing an exemption from the requirement of a
36contractor to provide written notice for specified direct
37contracts; amending s. 20.165,
