3     Amendment (with title amendment)
4     Between lines 1774 and 1775, insert:
5     Section 31.  Subsection (1) of section 338.227, Florida
6Statutes, is amended to read:
7     338.227  Turnpike revenue bonds.--
8     (1)  The department is authorized to borrow money as
9provided by the State Bond Act for the purpose of paying all or
10any part of the cost of any one or more legislatively approved
11turnpike projects. The principal of, and the interest on, such
12bonds will be payable solely from revenues pledged for their
13payment. Notwithstanding the provisions of s. 338.229, any bonds
14issued by the department after July 1, 2008, to fund turnpike
15projects shall include specific authority in the bond covenants
16and resolutions for the department to transfer the Homestead
17Extension of the Florida Turnpike to the Miami-Dade Expressway
18Authority.
