3     Amendment (with title amendment)
4     Remove lines 622-653, insert:
5     Section 6.  Section 193.804, Florida Statutes, is created
6to read:
7     193.804  Renewable energy source exemption.--
8     (1)  If a renewable energy source device is added to any
9property, the value of the renewable energy source device shall
10be exempted for purposes of property taxes. A person claiming
11the right to an exemption for a renewable energy source device
12shall declare his or her right to the exemption and provide a
13brief description of the device in a form as required by law.
14     (2)  If the property appraiser questions whether the device
15is a renewable energy source, he or she may refer the matter to
16the Department of Environmental Protection for recommendation.  
17If the property appraiser refers the matter, he or she shall
18notify the property owner of such action.
