1 The Committee on Transportation (Bullard) recommended the 2 following amendment: 3
4 Senate Amendment 5 Delete line(s) 9-16 and insert: 6 Section 1. The Department of Transportation, in 7 consultation with the Department of Law Enforcement, the 8 Division of Emergency Management of the Department of Community 9 Affairs, and the Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic 10 Development, shall complete a study of multimodal transportation 11 alternatives for the travel corridor parallel to Interstate 95 12 which takes into account the transportation, emergency 13 management, homeland security, and economic development needs of 14 the state. The report must include, but need not be limited to, 15 identification of cost-effective measures that may be 16 implemented to alleviate congestion on Interstate 95, facilitate 17 emergency and security responses, and foster economic 18 development.
