| Two groups of students athletes trained each year; student athletes evaluated at time of arrival to determine academic levels and athletic abilites; Student athletes will raise reading levels by 10%; student atheletes will achieve high academic standards; student athletes will be given pre-test and post-test to determine progress. Project DANA will help the student athlete regain a sense of security; enhance student learning through tutorial sessions; and provide students who are displaced or having difficulty readjusting gain a sense of community, friendship and well-being by establishing new and stronger ties to their community, city and state. | |||||||||
