A bill to be entitled
2An act relating to space and aerospace infrastructure;
3creating s. 331.370, F.S.; revising authorized uses of
4specified Space Florida appropriations; providing an
5effective date.

7Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
8
9     Section 1.  Section 331.370, Florida Statutes, is created
10to read:
11     331.370  Space and aerospace infrastructure.-
12Notwithstanding any other provisions of law, funds provided in
13Specific Appropriation 2649 of chapter 2008-152, Laws of
14Florida, for Space and Aerospace Infrastructure to make
15improvements to Launch Complex 36 on the 45th Space Wing
16property may also be used by Space Florida for improvements to
17other launch complexes and space transportation facilities in
18order to attract new space vehicle testing and launch business
19to the state; to address intermodal requirements and impacts of
20the launch ranges, spaceports, and other space transportation
21facilities; to advance aerospace technology to meet the current
22and future needs of the United States commercial space
23transportation industry; and to assist in the development of
24joint-use facilities and technology that support aviation and
25aerospace operations, including high-altitude and suborbital
26flights and range technology development.
27     Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
